چکیده
The durability of concrete has a profound impact on the service life structural elements. Indonesia extensive peat soils, which provide highly aggressive environment for structures. Geopolymer demonstrated good when exposed to acid /sulphate conditions similar those encountered in soils. This paper investigates performance geopolymer concretes produced using Indonesian type F fly ash under sulphate and chemical attack. specimens have been 12-months range solutions: 5% sodium sulphate, magnesium 1% 3% sulphuric acid, simulated solution. mechanical properties together with control monitored compressive strength, change mass, water absorption volume permeable voids, ultra pulse velocity, air permeability, pH profile, microstructural analysis (XRD, SEM/EDS). immersed achieved 56.93 MPa at age. Magnesium exposure had significant deterioration strength concrete, demonstrating an 11% reduction while 8.9% increase strength. Specimens solution displayed slightly increased 1.2% 4.5% decrease respectively. In general, high level resistance against

ALKALI Activated FLY-ASH Based Geopolymer Concrete
Considering the increasing demand for developing alternative construction materials, due to the growing environmental concerns, this paper discusses the feasibility of alkali activated geo-polymer concrete, as a future construction material. The main objective of this study involves observation of structural behaviours of the fresh fly ash-based geo-polymer concrete, understanding the basic mix...
متن کاملExperimental Evaluation of the Durability of Fly Ash-based Geopolymer Concrete in the Marine Environment
The construction industry is increasingly turning to the use of environmentally friendly materials in order to meet the sustainable aspect required by modern infrastructures. Consequently, for the last two decades, the expansion of this concept, and the increasing global warming have raised concerns on the extensive use of Portland cement due to the high amount of carbon dioxide gas associated ...
متن کاملFly Ash-based Geopolymer Lightweight Concrete Using Foaming Agent
In this paper, we report the results of our investigation on the possibility of producing foam concrete by using a geopolymer system. Class C fly ash was mixed with an alkaline activator solution (a mixture of sodium silicate and NaOH), and foam was added to the geopolymeric mixture to produce lightweight concrete. The NaOH solution was prepared by dilute NaOH pellets with distilled water. The ...
